Welcome Rowan
We’re excited to welcome Rowan James as our new Client Manager at the Tasmanian Community Fund, covering for Leanne Johannesen’s maternity leave!
Rowan brings a background in health, community services and governance, along with a strong interest in how organisations can support people and communities over the long term.
A registered physiotherapist, Rowan has worked in allied health and management roles across public, private and community-based settings. This experience has given him a solid understanding of frontline service delivery and the pressures organisations operate under, as well as valuable experience in stakeholder engagement and collaborative problem-solving during times of change.
Rowan said he was drawn to the role because of the Fund’s focus on meaningful, lasting impact.
“I’m especially interested in place-based work and community resilience, and in supporting initiatives that create genuine and have a lasting local impact,” Rowan said.
“It’s exciting to be part of an organisation that works alongside communities and helps turn great local ideas into reality.”
Living in the Huon Valley with his family, Rowan enjoys spending time outdoors — something that continues to shape how he thinks about community, environment and connection.
Welcome Rowan!
