Governance and Accountability
The Tasmanian Community Fund is governed by an independent Board and operates under the Tasmanian Community Fund Act 2005.
The Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the Fund, decisions about the allocation of grants, and oversight of governance, risk, financial management and performance.

Governance and assurance
TCF maintains governance and assurance arrangements to support responsible decision-making and stewardship of the Fund.
These include:
- financial and performance reporting
- risk management
- audit and assurance
- management of conflicts of interest
- oversight of grant expenditure and reporting
- regular review of governance and grant-making practices.
The Board is supported in this work by its Audit and Risk Committee.
Transparency and reporting
TCF reports publicly on its activities, funding decisions, financial performance and governance through its Annual Report and audited financial statements.
