Child Safe and Wellbeing

The Tasmanian Community Fund (TCF) operates under a Board with the sole and absolute discretion to make grants for community purposes, our Child Safe and Wellbeing Policy is guided by clear standards and principles. The TCF Board ensures its activities are conducted in the best interests of the community; similarly, we are deeply committed to prioritising the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children and young people in every aspect of our work. All individuals within our organisation are required to adhere to these guiding principles, reinforcing our collective responsibility to promote a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.

The Child Safe & Wellbeing Policy, Child Safety Code of Conduct, and Child Safe Commitment are central to forming the foundation of our dedication to child protection and wellbeing. The Child Safe Policy outlines the key principles that guide our approach to safeguarding children, ensuring their safety and promoting their wellbeing. The Child Safe Code of Conduct sets clear expectations for behaviour and conduct when interacting with children, ensuring that all individuals maintain responsible, respectful, and ethical practices. The Child Safe Commitment reinforces our organisation’s unwavering dedication to child safety and highlights the shared responsibility of all staff and volunteers to create a secure and supportive environment for children.
