Crewative Arts Connect showcase

Crewative Arts Connect recently held its Youth Crewative showcase and Youth Week celebration at Bucaan Community House in Chigwell.
Funded by the TCF and assisted with the support of partners, Crewative Arts Connect works with young people in the Chigwell area by delivering a range of fun and creative workshops each week, as well as community events and pop-up workshops.
The centrepiece of the event was the exhibition of art submitted by local young people, alongside artworks created by participants of the Crewative Arts Connect program.
One participant who had work in the exhibition was Windermere Primary School student Poppy, who has been participating in the Crewative Arts Connect workshops.
“In Crewative I have been doing spray painting and working with stencils on t-shirts, and my favourite bit has been getting to learn how to do new things,” Poppy said.
“I love doing it so much, I have always loved art, and this has given me an even bigger love of it.”
Alongside the exhibition, the showcase featured professional artists doing live mural painting, live hip-hop and RnB performances, workshops on karate and digital drawing, and free doughnuts and barbecue.
