Start the Kurious Beats
The Jordan River Learning Federation (JRLF) Senior School in the Brighton municipality has been awarded $23,750 from the TCF to enhance student engagement and attendance through the Kurious Beats project.
Kurious Beats focuses on amplifying student voice and creativity, helping foster a stronger connection and active participation in school through the performing arts.
Focusing on music, hip-hop, songwriting, stagecraft and media, students will co-design the program and take ownership of the creative processes.
Kurious Beats aims to help students see learning as something meaningful and connected to their future, inspiring them to stay engaged in education and pursue their dreams.
We know that when students are engaged through their passions, it breaks down barriers to learning.
Kurious Beats concludes and celebrates the project's success with a student-led music video and live performances shared with the community – we can’t wait to see their work!
