The Shepherd Centre had four young children graduate from their early intervention program recently.

The program teaches children with hearing loss to listen and speak and critically offers supports to parents and carers through the work of their spoken language specialists.

Shepherd Centre Regional Manager Tiffany Slater said they are so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown from both children and families.

“It’s at this time, as they head off to prep, that all of this work truly pays off and our wonderful children are ready to start the next exciting chapter of their lives,” Tiffany said.

“It was wonderful to celebrate their success with The Shepherd Centre’s community of parents, children and dedicated supporters.

“Thank you to the Tasmanian Community Fund for making it possible for The Shepherd Centre to support Tasmanian children with hearing loss.”
