Project Presentations Provide Valuable Learnings

The Tasmanian Community Fund recently commenced its 2023 Project Presentation Day series with two days of learning and collaboration held in Longford on the 8th and 9th of March. We sincerely thank all organisations, partners and participants who supported this initiative.

We spent two days listening and learning with fourteen community organisations from around Tasmania, funded in a variety of Tasmanian Community Fund priority areas. The purpose of the project presentation days are to bring organisations together for a day of learning and reflection, whilst facilitating connections, and encouraging collaboration across current and future projects. During the presentation days, each organisation is allocated time to deliver a presentation to attendees, which includes other project representatives and the TCF staff and board, outlining the purpose and objective of the project, an update about progress, and importantly, the impact the project is having on project participants and the community. Many organisations brought these stories of impact to life either through photos, video and in-person representation from program participants on the day. A heartfelt thank you to all participants for sharing your stories and helping us to understand how TCF projects are contributing to tangible wellbeing outcomes for many people across Tasmania.

The TCF thank all organisations and attendees for their energy, passion and commitment both during the presentation days and through the implementation of projects in the Tasmanian community. We would like to specifically thank the following presenting organisations: Centacare Evolve Housing, The Shepherd Centre, Burnie Works, Connect 42, Northern Employment and Business Hub, Colony 47, Launceston City Mission, Northern Suburbs Community Centre Inc, Starting Point Neighbourhood House, The Peter Underwood Centre for Educational Attainment, Huon Valley Council, Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania, Drug Education Network Relationships Australia Tasmania and the Southcentral Workforce Network.

The Project Presentation Day series continues this May and the TCF greatly look forward to connecting and learning with a further eighteen organisations, this time in Campbell Town.
