Grants in Focus allow TCF to respond to particular challenges, opportunities or priorities that would benefit from a more targeted funding approach.

Rather than being a single ongoing grant program, individual Grants in Focus opportunities will be developed around a specific purpose.

Current opportunity

Youth voice and participation

In 2026–27, Grants in Focus will support youth voice and participation, creating opportunities for young Tasmanians to influence the issues and decisions that affect their lives and communities.
This funding opportunity is currently being developed. TCF will work with young people and relevant organisations to help shape the approach before the grant round opens.

Further information, including the purpose of the round, funding available, eligibility, assessment criteria and application dates, will be published later in 2026.

How Grants in Focus work

Each Grants in Focus opportunity is tailored to the particular issue, opportunity or priority it is seeking to address.

Depending on the issue or opportunity, TCF may work with communities, people with lived experience, organisations or other partners to help shape the funding approach.

Each opportunity will clearly set out:

  • its purpose
  • who it is intended to support
  • the outcomes being sought
  • funding available
  • eligibility and assessment criteria
  • how to apply.

This pathway allows TCF to respond to emerging needs and opportunities while remaining aligned with its Strategic Plan and purpose of providing lasting benefit to Tasmanian communities.
