ClimateConnect Grants Program
The things we do every day have an impact on climate change. The water we drink. The food we eat. The car we drive. The things we buy. The places we visit. The energy we use. The things we throw away. While climate change is a global problem, the changes we make as individuals and in local communities can make a big difference.
Helping Tasmanian communities earn their stars

The new ClimateConnect grants program will provide money for projects that help Tasmanians work together in their local communities to find climate change solutions.
We’re looking for project ideas that meet the program’s key objectives:
  • reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • conserving energy
  • encouraging others to find climate change solutions
  • promoting new ideas to reduce emissions and conserve energy.
ClimateConnect grants will support community groups with projects that involve partnerships with businesses, local councils or schools.
Apply for a ClimateConnect grant!

Are you a member of a community group with a project that encourages people to work together to reduce emissions or conserve energy? You may want to apply for a ClimateConnect grant.  Eligible applicants can apply for funding up to $50,000. The first funding round of ClimateConnect is now open. We will be accepting applications for funding until 5pm Friday 30 January 2009.
ClimateConnect Program Guidelines and Application Forms are available online at http://www.climatechange.tas.gov.au/climateconnect_grants
