The Second Echo Ensemble (SEE) is an independent, integrated performance group, which has been producing dynamic collaborative physical theatre works since 2005. SEE aims to act as a catalyst for change in both performance and disability through the creation and presentation of exceptional theatre.

The majority of performers are young adults, most of whom live with intellectual disabilities. SEE strive to raise the profile of integrated performance as an art form in Tasmania and to develop the artists with disabilities’ skills and knowledge through interaction and workshops. To do this SEE creates opportunities for artists to work with the ensemble, introducing young performers with a disability into the group and links older members of the ensemble with new members as mentors.

With support from the Tasmanian Community Fund, the Tasmanian Theatre Company, Tasmanian Regional Arts and Arts Tasmania, SEE was able to develop and deliver Fall. An investigation of the idea of fall; a descent, a season, the inevitable liminal place between each step forward.
